Buying a home, be it brand new or a resale is a big investment. How do you know you’re making sound choices? A home inspection is a great start, it gives you
an independent opinion on your home, but if you’re not particularly construction savvy, the home inspection could raise more questions than it answers.

Don’t worry, I’m here to help.home

I’ve started this blog to explain, in terms everyone can understand, the components of a home, potential red flags, signs of damage and what it all means to you, the prospective buyer (or new home owner).

I will delve into areas of structure, roofing, landscaping, plumbing and wiring. I will explain the many types of different home components, how they should work, and what can go wrong. I will talk about potential problems like mold, water damage and foundation cracks. What are signs of bigger problems, what is mostly cosmetic. If you have questions, feel free to ask, I’ll be happy to do specific posts tailored to your personal concerns.

Of course, anything I say in this blog is purely my opinion and should not be used as the basis for any major home decisions, an independent contractor should always be contacted to evaluate your specific situation.

That being said, let’s learn some stuff about houses, shall we?
